Haris Rauf to Latham, SIX, oopsie, pedestrian fielding here from Pakistan!! Almost comical. A length ball angling onto middle and leg, Latham clears the front leg and flicks it away. Would have gone straight down the throat of deep square leg had he stayed by the boundary. But he was a few paces ahead and then tries to adjust, ends up making a meal of it and concedes a six as the ball pretty much goes through him. Khusdil Shah the fielder!

Haris Rauf to Latham, wide, a loud shout for caught behind, it's given as a wide and Pakistan have reviewed. They were very confident and Rauf kept gesturing to the keeper to go for the review, has it brushed Latham's gloves on its way? It does look close, onto UltraEdge and it's a flat line - so Pakistan have lose theirt review. Banged in short and down leg, Latham was swivelling across on the pull and missed

Naseem Shah to Williamson, out Caught by Rizwan!! Big blow and the stadium erupts. Naseem is running around in circles as Pakistan have struck twice in a matter of minutes to take control of the game! A superb delivery from Naseem Shah, on a length and angling inwards to off stump, straightens just at the last moment to kiss the outside edge and through to the keeper who dives low in front to complete a fine catch. Nothing much Kane Williamson could have done there, it was too close to off to leave, and too good of a ball to not edge. The man in form for New Zealand departs for just one run. Williamson c Rizwan b Naseem Shah 1(2)

Abrar Ahmed to Conway, out Bowled!! A ripper from Abrar to get the first wicket of the 2025 Champions Trophy!! Has his arms folded in his trademark celebration as his teammates engulf him. It was a carrom ball but didn't really turn, almost slid on with the arm and beat the outside edge of Conway to peg back the off stump. Almost like an inswinger from a fast bowler. Cheers go out at the Karachi Stadium. Pakistan have their first big moment of this Champions Trophy opener. Conway b Abrar Ahmed 10(17) [4s-2]
